The Centre for Environment Education, Knowledge for Sustainable Development invites applications for the position of Project Associate.

Reports to: Programme Director, CEE-KSD

Location: Bangalore


The Centre for Environment Education (CEE) is a Centre of Excellence supported by the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India. CEE¡¦s primary objective is to improve public awareness and understanding of environmental issues with a view to promote conservation and wise use of nature and natural resources.


Knowledge for Sustainable Development (KSD), a core unit of CEE, aims to develop general awareness and policy support on key environment and development issues. KSD projects and programmes identify and articulate these issues, bringing them to a stage of trial, research or implementation through a process of consultation and discussion.

Project Associate

Eligibility
The candidate must have a first class Postgraduate Degree (Environmental Science, Agriculture Sciences and Mass Communication preferred) with knowledge of Environmental issues and excellent communication skills.

Job description
- Establishing linkages with government departments, academics, and networking with various NGOs
- Assisting with various projects of the unit 
- Assisting with Trainings, Seminars and Capacity building
- Process Documentation, Preparing Reports

Competencies
- Teamwork orientation
- Coordinating and networking skills
- Ability to manage work assignments independently with minimum supervision
- Documentation Skills
- Excellent Communication skills in English - written and verbal 
- Computer literacy (Includes moderate skills in MS-Office package like Word, Excel, Power Point, etc)

Salary: Rs.8, 000 - 12,000 per month, depending on experience and competence of the candidate.
